Hello? Not sure who still in fact reads my blog but I like coming back and visiting it every now and then!

I really like going back and looking at old posts.  A big set of them that I liked was my Fitness Friday posts.  Back in 2010 I was a work out machine.  I lost about 30 lbs and got down to my goal weight of 127 lbs.

Well needless to say it's 6 years later and I ended up gaining it all back.  Plus some, so I finally decided it's time.  My boyfriend owns a boat where we actually first met at. Summer is around the corner so I figured I NEED something.  I was spinning out of control, I wasn't planning meals, I was eating basically ALL carbs and I just felt like crap!

So insert my new way of life now for the past 30 days I started a nutritional re-balancing program and I was able to say GOODBYE to 16 lbs of toxic weight and lost 33.25 INCHES!

I'm already off to my next 30 days and I can't wait to share my next 30 day results!

{BBQ Season Has Arrived}

Well the rainy season has finally ended - which for us because we don't have any patio covers to shield us from all the elements, means it is finally time to BBQ!

I actually am happy to say I grilled up dinner completely on my own last night!

My boyfriend has this terrible BBQ - I mean he doesn't take care of it. Sssh don't tell him I said that. 

So the last time I went to grill some food I was revolted by the grill and how gross it was. 

Thankfully - I got a new wire grill brush from Cave Tools - which was wayyyy better than the cheap Dollar Tree brush I had before that never did any good.

 Seriously - let's check out the before of my gross grill...  See below? Yes it's gross.  Shame on my boyfriend I know.  

 

 But thankfully with this new grill brush it was way fast and easier to clean and burn off the gross remnants of the last grill out. 

I liked that it has a wider brush instead of a small 2x2 square which I was used to using. 

Now the after = Ahhhh.. Clean!  

 Then of course here is what I ended up cooking yesterday - a big old tri-tip! 

Dinner is served!

{life lately}

Not sure why this blog post is still in a draft mode.  I opened it up to find out what I might have written in it and I apparently gave it a title but then never actually wrote what I was doing with my life.  

So I'll do a little photo recap! Let's see the last post I did was my 2015 recap.  So it's now March 9th.  What have I been up to so far in the first 2 months of the year...

New Year's Weekend - We headed to Tahoe after partying in Napa

 Ran into old friends at Hard Rock in South Lake

 Snowboarded at Northstar

 Went furniture shopping - found a couch - now I just need to pay off my shutters and then go purchase this! 

 I've been buying alot of stuff for the house, got these cute mason jar prints for the kitchen

 Wendy came to visit me in January and told me that I'm going to be an AUNTIE!!

 Went to Tahoe for Tainted Love at the South Shore Room in Harvey's and Amanda came to meet up with us

 My brother turned 23! 

 Went with Kasey to a Kings game where - no one showed up for the suite so it was literally just the two of us in there!

 I went to Austin at the end of January for work but was able to sneak in a bunch of play time too! My best friend Maureen moved there recently and so we got to catch up! 

 Went to Zilker Park 

 Then of course scheduled my work meetings around fun scenes in Austin

 TORCHY'S TACOS! YUM!!!

 Nancy came to Sac to celebrate her birthday with Craig (her son) and I with her hubby. 

 We did a Galentine's Day with a bunch of gals on the 12th of Feb

 Then our girlfriend threw her son's 1st birthday - Louisiana Style! Crawfish boil and Red Beans and Rice - and a Brass Band!

 That was Valentine's and Presidents Day weekend so we had Monday off - so we headed up to Tahoe on Sunday morning and stopped and went into Truckee for beers and apps before heading to the condo

 We went to Moody's Bistro and had tasty happy hour and calamari 

 Then we rode at Northstar on Monday - it was sweatshirt weather!

 Thankfully we headed up again the weekend after - this time we went to Heavenly to snowboard and I finally switched my bindings to my new board that I won at Riva Grill last year - I am so much better now.  Tooting my own horn! 

 Heavenly! 

 Sacramento had a Beer Week so we went out with friends - Craig was in Fresno for a friend's family event

 Then Sunday Feb 28th we drove up again to Heavenly for the day to hit the slopes!

 I've been also cooking up a storm with new recipes, this one is a shrimp and broccoli stir fry! 

Then I made Alfredo Stuffed Chicken and Broccoli Shells 

 Then I made the same stir fry and tried a hand at Pan Fried Noodles

 Then I mastered the noodle recipe so I've been making it ALOT

 Craig made pulled pork last weekend and it was SOOO good

 Then finally - I just got back from a work trip to LA with my boss and we had a delish dinner on Marina Del Ray at Salt - great scallops! 

{2015: Year in Review}

Another year has come and gone and I have to say I do enjoy having my anniversary on December 31st.  It gives us time to reflect on the last year and look forward to our new plans for the new year!

The year started off in Park City Utah for NYE.  We snowboarded/skiied for four days and then that next weekend we headed off to Tahoe to our condo.

Thankfully this year in Tahoe will look much different and more bundled up!

Craig became a Godfather to his best friend's son.  This was the end of the night he was alittle cranky.

I spent a luxurious day in Calistoga on MLK day at Indian Springs Resort.

We showered a good friend for her baby shower at the end of January.  Possibly the best baby shower ever.

Celebrated my cousin's birthday in Tomales bay at the Tomales Bay Oyster Company! Yum!

We went to Monterey in February for Craig's mom's birthday

I had lots of fun girls night's throughout the year.

Went to Tahoe again but there was no snow so we just drank alot this trip.

Went back again for Valentine's Day weekend - again no snow..

Then back again on the 17th of Feb for another ski weekend

Lots of Tahoe weekends.. Feb 27th - 29th.. With another group of friends

Went to SF to celebrate a friends birthday

Finally got to see my brother in a criterium race.

Saw Garth Brooks in Concert

Went to the Bogle wine dinner with my dad and step mom.

Played with puppies while we were suppose to be networking at a Metro Edge event.

Played host for AWM at numerous luncheons

I bought my first house!!!

Went to the Men's 20-30 Spring Party

Saw Kenny Chesney & Jason Aldean in May

Celebrated Craig's 33rd birthday on May 6th

Celebrated Rosie's 31st birthday also in May

Got my heartbroken by Mariah Carey in Vegas.. But then recovered by seeing Brit

Threw a baby shower for a good friend in May too!

Went to Golf & Guitars at Haggin Oaks

Went camping for Memorial Day in Lake Almanor

Celebrated Lindsays 33rd birthday in Napa

Went boating numbers of times..

Went to Disneyland with Wendy for another 24 hour trip!

Finally went to Pops in the Park

Went to the US Senior Open

Became a Yelp Elite! Ate at lots of tasty events!

Went to a friend's wedding in Tahoe

Kicked off the 4th of July holiday boating and then to a house pool party!

Had a baking and wine day with my bestie

Went to Apple Hill with Friends

Went to Fresno for a wedding and I caught the bouquet

Went to snowboard in Colorado! Breckenridge, Vail, Keystone, Beaver Creek.. Done!

Then went to see my old house I was born at! 

Went to Reno for the Santa Pub Crawl

Then finally we threw a progressive dinner party with our friends around the way.. I think I maxed out on pics though!
